DIY dollar tree Spring Wreath

Supplies for a DIY SPRING WREATH

  • 2020 Simply Blessed Calendar Bunny Print (From Dollar Tree)
  • Cardboard from Calendar
  • 1 Wire 3D Wreath Form (From Dollar Tree)
  • Wood Beads size 20mm and smaller
  • Mod Podge
  • Electrical Tape
  • 20 gauge Wire
  • 5 Various Spools of Spring Ribbon
  •  Tiebacks

Tools

  • Paint Brush
  • Wire Cutters
  • Hole Punch
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun

Steps to make a diy DOLLAR TREE spring wreath

Step 1 – Brush some Mod Podge on the cardboard. Tear your bunny print from your calendar and place it on the cardboard. Use your hands to smooth the print on and get rid of any bubbles you see. It’s ok to see a few wrinkles. Set aside to dry.

Step 2 – Take the largest ring from the 3D Dollar Tree wreath form and clip off the connecters with your wire cutters. Cut the ring so it is no longer connected.

Step 3 – Thread the wood beads onto the wire wreath starting with 5 large beads and 3 smaller beads. Repeat this pattern until the ring is full. The beads should not be too tight, there should be some give to it. Use electrical tape to secure the ring back together.

Step 4 – Place the bunny print cardboard on center of your bead wreath and trim any edges down so the corners touch the wreath edge. Punch 4 holes with a hole puncher in your bunny print cardboard, one in each corner.

Step 5 – Use wire to attach the bunny print centered onto the edge of the wreath. Place the wire in the holes and make any adjustments needed before twisting the wire tight around the wreath form. Clip any excess wire.

Step 6 – Cut 4 lengths of each ribbon spool about 4-6 inches long. Begin with the widest ribbon and start crisscrossing each piece and continuing to stack various ribbons on top of each other. Alternate different ribbon patters while continuing the crisscross pattern.

Step 7 – Secure the center of your crisscross bow with a cable tie. Clip the excess off. Dove tail or angle the ribbon tails with scissors. Hot glue a strip of a smaller ribbon around the center to cover the cable tie. Fluff your bow if necessary.

Step 8 – Insert a piece of wire through the back of the bow to secure the ribbon to the top of your wreath. You may also hot glue the bow on to cover the electrical tape.

Make any adjustments you need and enjoy your wreath!
